This scene depicts the Chess and Checker Club of New York better known
as "The Flea House" located in the Times Square Area on 42nd Street
near 7th Avenue. At that time the proprietor was named "Mr. Fisher".
It was also known as "Fisher's". This had nothing to do with Bobby
Fischer. Note the difference in spelling. Kola Kwariani was a regular
chess player at the Flea House. I knew him well although I never
played him a game of chess. I was told that his strength at chess was
about the same as mine, an expert. The scene was actually filmed in
Hollywood but was made to look like the Flea House.

Just in case you have forgotten:
Expert in USCF parlance means 2000-2199 Elo.

Your rating is 1909 and you are not an expert.
But you certainly are "nearly an IM" and definitely a Dung Beatle.

I was rated over 2000 and thus an expert for nearly 40 years from 1962
to 2000. I am easily qualified for the "Life Expert" title if they
ever implement it.

While it is true that my rating has fallen below 2000, I still have
expert and occasionally master performances.
