After nearly 40 years in Philadelphia, the World Open has been moved
to Arlington Virginia. I do not know the reason for the move but there
have been obvious problems with the Philadelphia locations.

This will be the 41st World Open. The first few World Opens were held
in New York City but by about 1978 they had been moved to Philadelphia
where they have been held ever since.

How's it going Sam, long time no see. I thought I would check in and see who's still around other than you of course. :) Any word on who is winning (or won) the U.S. Championship in St. Louis? A friend of mine told me Kamsky dropped a piece in one of his games.
